Bulls with and without antlers, cows and calves all eat from these feeders. They work great.

One other note. I recently saw a round bale feeder with funnel shaped tubing in the center. This kept the hay high off the ground so as to prevent any spoilage. I really liked the look of this and will look for one.

Another note. I had a big spike made that I bolted to the front loader of my tractor. This enables me to spear the round bales and dump them over the fence, into the feed ring, without having to open gates and go inside the elk pen. This really works great and is as excellent time saver.
