I agree with everything antler333 has said and would like to add, Even though we can cull very harshly, perhaps the greatest danger is the traits we cant easily see. Such as reducing the animals natural resistance to disease, or its ability to have high birth rate percentages.It is probably a good rule to follow the guidelines set for human marriages as far as how close to breed.There are valid reasons for those laws.There is probably a place for line breeding,but you will have to butcher as many animals as you have good results with.I dont do line breeding or recomend it.
