Raising Elk since 1990
TB Accredited Herd

We breed our animals for velvet, conformation, reproductive success, and carcass yield.   We keep records on birth weights, inoculations, velvet weights, conception success, and gender percentages.  We have had a few bottle fed calves and enjoy the disposition of the calves when they grow to full adult cows.  Our herd sire, Prince Albert, is son of Big Al and weighs  just under 1000 lbs. with velvet production results averaging between 23 and 25 lbs.

We dedicate our success to hard work and the treatment of our animals.  We believe in gentle treatment, high quality food, roomy pastures for grazing, regular vet care, and most of all you must enjoy your animals.

Alfalfa Fields with ElkThis is the most rewarding type of lifestyle for the family. Working with my children and letting them share in the successes and enjoyment.

We are located on the Southern slopes of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Monument, Montrose Colorado. Here is a picture of our high quality alfalfa pastures, fenced for efficiency and security. A great place to board and care for our animals, and your animals too.

We have personalized boarding plans for your animals and can accommodate your needs.

Just contact us and we can help.
